Position Overview:

We are looking for a Data Center Engineer to install and support SANs for large scale data intensive environments. The successful candidate will be working for a team oriented, fast paced and innovative IT Services and Solutions provider as an Implementation Engineer. The position will be located in Deerfield Beach, FL within the CSPi Technology Solutions North America headquarters.

Skills and Requirements needed:

  • 5+ years of VMware ESXi and vSphere Experience Required (VCP Preferred)
  • Hyper-converged Infrastructure Experience (Nutanix Preferred)
  • Public and Hybrid Cloud Experience (Microsoft 365 and Azure Preferred)
  • Extensive Windows AND Linux Server Experience
  • Server Based Application Support Experience (Exchange, SQL, Active Directory, IIS, Apache)
  • IT Infrastructure Management Experience
  • Data Protection Experience (Veeam or Rubrik Preferred )
  • Experience analyzing infrastructure environments and designing solutions
  • Storage Performance troubleshooting, testing, support, and implementation
  • Experience with data replication between data centers and/or public clouds
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies, especially VMware, Hyper-V and KVM
  • Experience with Data Center Storage including SAN, NAS and Object
  • Understanding of Backup and Recovery, Data Archiving and Data life-cycle management including disk based backups
  • Solid understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts, including the principles of network routing and client/server programming
  • Highly motivated, energetic, thorough, detail-oriented, with ability to multi-task effectively
  • General troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Pre-Sales support for Client Managers in developing solutions for customers. Assist in developing quotes/Bill of Materials, proposals and Statement of Work
  • Design, administer and support storage solutions, including Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Networks (SAN), and enterprise disk subsystems backup and recovery, BC/DR
  • Provide direct technical support for the planning, coordination, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to server and storage systems and the range of products and productivity tools that support the testing and production of those server and storage systems
  • Ensure stable performance for server and storage environments through performance monitoring and tuning
  • Perform operational support, ticketing, etc.
